Our Step‑by‑Step Upholstery Cleaning Process
Step 1 — Pre‑Clean Inspection
We begin with a detailed inspection of the upholstery you’d like cleaned. We identify the fabric type, assess the backing material, and evaluate the level of soiling. This allows us to determine the safest and most effective cleaning method, along with the ideal products for your specific fabric.
Step 2 — Power Vacuuming
Your upholstery is then thoroughly vacuumed using a high‑powered machine equipped with a HEPA filter and rotating brush. Before vacuuming, we gently brush the fabric with a soft clothes brush to loosen trapped soils. This ensures we remove as much dust, grit, and dry debris as possible before applying any cleaning solutions.
Step 3 — Stubborn Stain Treatment
Any stubborn stains are treated with a targeted pre‑spray solution. This breaks down the particles that cause staining, making them far easier to remove during the hot water extraction stage.
Step 4 — Pre‑Clean Treatment
We then apply the most suitable pre‑spray for the fabric type and soil level. This treatment breaks down remaining dirt, draws it to the surface, and kills harmful bacteria, dust mites, and carpet moths. It also sanitises the fibres and eliminates unpleasant odours.
Step 5 — Hot Water Extraction Cleaning
Using a top‑of‑the‑range hot water extraction machine, we inject hot water and a citric‑acid rinse deep into the fabric fibres. A powerful vacuum immediately extracts the solution along with loosened soil. The citric‑acid rinse ensures all pre‑spray residues are removed, leaving your upholstery soft, conditioned, and completely free from sticky residue.
Step 6 — Fibre Setting & Customer Inspection
To finish, we groom the fabric with a specialist brush to lift, restore, and set the fibres, giving your upholstery a beautifully refined, even appearance.
